Born in Lincoln, Nebraska Brian has worked in areas as diverse as Washington, D.C. and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Brian has led a variety of work in community organizing and development. From his current organizing of the the Community Food Pantry of Philipstown to organizing
Mercy Junction Justice and Peace Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee Brian has shown a keen insight into both new initiatives and shoring up the development of existing organizations. With over 25 years of public speaking, budget review, employee management, and

Creating New Services

For over two decade Brian has used his training in Asset Based Community Development and his positions in the Presbyterian Church to lead on issues such as LGBTQ+ rights in the church and equal pay with benefits for all. He has done this organizing while leading 3 local congregations and working as an interim wiith three other churches during that time. 

Developing Existing Structures

Over 25 years of serving organizations Brian has been instrumental in creating new initiatives as well as steering existing structures into viability.  ​
Creative thinking and practices have been the bedrock of Brian's philosophy of development. Just like children discover new things and master them, our organizations will need to learn new practices to survive in a post-covid world.

Exceptional Communication

From press to pulpit Brian has excelled at oral communications. During many actions Brian was the liaison to the press and reporters. Weekly he has created both liturgy and sermon's for congregations as well as gatherings. ​
